Unifor Action Centre

We are a joint venture between the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development and the Unifor National Office, with the intention of assisting workers impacted by the Stellantis Brampton Assembly plant’s shutdown for its transition to electric vehicles. Specifically, we are here for workers from: Stellantis (including Trades and OC&E) – Local 1285, Android – Local 1285, Syncreon – Local 1285, Oakley Local 1285, AWC – Local 1285, Universal – Local 1285, Team Industrial – Local 1285, Compass – Local 1285, Magna – Local 2009 AP, Lear – Local 222, CPK Interiors – Local 1917 and Maksteel – Local 252. We are primarily located in the Unifor Local 1285 Union Hall. Recognizing that many workers, especially those from Lear, live in the Durham region we have a satellite office located in the Unifor Local 222 hall in Oshawa.

You are invited to visit either or both locations to have a coffee and just hang out or to use our computers, look  at our job search boards, attend one of our workshops, training or information sessions and special events.  Both locations are open Monday to Friday – 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
